Admission Requirements

The admission to the Master's Degree Course in Accounting, Governance and Sustainability a.y. 2023-2024 (AGS) of Italian students is subject to an evaluation process that includes the assessment of the curricular requirements and the verification of the student's adequate preparation.

For students with an Italian bachelor degree or equivalent

The admission to the Master Degree course in Accounting, Governance and Sustainability of Italian students is subject to an evaluation process that includes the assessment of the curricular requirements and the verification of the student's adequate preparation.

A. Curricular requirements

To be admitted to the degree course, it is necessary to have a three-year university degree or diploma or other qualification obtained abroad that is recognized as suitable.

It is also required to possess curricular requirements which vary according to the class of the three-year degree of origin.

 1) In particular, graduates from the following classes, from any Italian Faculty and University can access the Master degree in Accounting, Governance and Sustainability without any further curriculum requirement:

  • Ministerial Decree 270/04:

Class L-18 - Economics and business management sciences

Class L-33 - Economics

  • Ministerial Decree 509/99:

Class 17 - Economics and business management sciences

Class 28 - Economics

  • before Ministerial Decree 509/99: Four-year degree diploma obtained at a (former) Faculty of Economics.

2) For graduates from other degree classes, the curricular requirement for admission is to have acquired a minimum of 60 credits in the scientific-disciplinary sectors present in the following areas:

  • Area 13 - Economics and statistics: all SSDs

 

  • Area 12 – Law Studies:
    • IUS/01 - Private law
    • IUS/02 - Comparative private law
    • IUS/04 – Business law
    • IUS/05 – Economics law
    • IUS/07 – Labour law
    • IUS/08 – Constitutional law
    • IUS/09 – Public law
    • IUS/10 – Administrative law
    • IUS/12 – Tax law
    • IUS/13 – International law
    • IUS/14 – European Union lqw
    • IUS/15 – Civil procedural law
    • IUS/16 – Criminal procedure
    • IUS/17 – Criminal law
    • IUS/20 – Philosophy of law
  • Area 01 – Mathematics and Informatics
    • MAT/05 – Mathematical analysis
    • MAT/06 – Probability and statistics
    • MAT/09 – Operations research
    • INF/01 – Informatics
  • - Area 09 – Industrial and information engineering
    • ING-IND/09 – Energy systems and power generation
    • ING-IND/35 – Business and management engineering
    • ING-INF/05 – Information processing systems

 3) The curricular requirements also include knowledge of the English language with a level of not less than B2; the requirement is deemed satisfied if the candidate has:

  • acquired at least 6 ECTS of English in the three-year course (for example during the Bachelor degree)
  • Spent at least 6 months for an Erasmus project or for work in an English speaking country
  • Has attended any course delivered in English (for no less than 6 months)

B. Adequacy of the student's personal preparation

Admission to the master's degree course is subject not only to the possession of the curricular and linguistic requirements, but also to the verification of the adequacy of the personal preparation of the candidates which will take place through an online interview. The interview will focus on topics consistent with the educational path described in a specific information sheet and published on the degree course web page.

Students with the following characteristics are exempt from carrying out the interview:

  • three-year graduates in the following classes L-17 e L-28 (D.M. 509/99) e L-18 e L-33 (D.M. 270/04) who have achieved a degree grade of no less than 90/110 or no less than 100/110 if graduated from other degree classes;
  • students who have not yet graduated who have an average score of the exams taken of no less than 24/30, if graduated in classes L-17, L-28, L-18 and L-33, or 26/30 if graduated in other degree classes.

For students with an international bachelor, admission to the course is subject to the evaluation of the CV and qualifications, aimed at assessing the possession of the curricular requirements and verifying the adequacy of personal preparation; these assessments will be carried out through an interview with the appropriate Commission.

Adequacy of the student's personal preparation

Applicants are required knowledge of English corresponding to level B2, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

For students with an international bachelor, admission to the course is subject to the evaluation of the CV and qualifications, aimed at assessing the possession of the curricular requirements and verifying the adequacy of personal preparation; these assessments will be carried out through an interview with the appropriate Commission.

For European students (not from Italy)

Students coming from EU Countries follow the same admission rules of Italian students.
